Paraparaumu Jottings
. (From "Chronicle" Corresponfient) At the close of the bowling season the Paraparaumu Beach Bowling Club held a da.nce in its hall. A large crowcl attended and a very pleasant evening was spent, with dancing and other entertainmeni provided. M-r. Wakelin, of Raumati South, was to the forefronc in providing the entertainment. The annual meeting of the St. Paul's branch of the Mothers' Union was held in the Anglican Hall recently, after a brief service in the Anglican Church conducted by the Rev. O. Williams. An interesting address was given to the union by the guest speaker, Deaconess Saunders. The Progressive Association hss been making many improvement s to the appearance of the Marine Parade beach township. Stone walls with inlet seating accommodation have given the beach township a very tidy appearance.
