MR. HAMILTON ROSS ELLIOTT

The late Mr. H. R. Elliott, whose death occurred recently, was born in Antrim,. Ireland, in 1871. He earne to New Zealand 57 years ago and after several years as farm manager in the Rangitikei district, took up a block of bush-covered land at Apiti, This he c'eared suceessfully and farmed until 1919, when he purchased a farm at Ihakara, residing there until the time of his death.Mr. Elliott was of a quiet and retiring nature, and loved home life. He leaves his wife, four sons, Jack (Apiti), Bob (New Plymouth), George (Turakina) and Ross (Ihakara) , and a daughter (Mrs. R. M. Law, Ihakara). A fifth son, Ken, predeeeased him some- years ago.
