Improved Air Services For North Island

WELLINGTON, May .13. - The New Zealand National Airways Corporation announees new and improved air services on the Northland md central and west coast of the North Island routes. Beginning on June 13 the present two services a day between Whangarei and Auckland wiiJ be inereased to three services. This will release additional seats 'on the through Northland services for travellers from Kaitaia and Kaikohe for Auckland in addition to providing extra eapacity into and out of Whangarei. This third serviee will also oper ate southward from ■ Auckland to Hamilton and Rotorua. The present Anckland-Rotorua-Ham-ilton-Wellington service operated by 10-seater aircraft will be discontinued between Hamilton and Wellington after June il. A new service to be maintained by 15-seater Lodestar aircraft will commence ^on June 13 between Auckland, New Plymouth, Hamilton, Palmerston North and Wellington. The present Auckland -New Plymouth - Palmerston North - Wellington, seervice will continue to operatep JThe fpllowing improved .air facilities will accordingly be maintained south of Auckland on and after June 13: — . 1. — Two sefvices instead of one between Auckland and New Plymouth. ( 21- — A new serviee between New Plymouth and Hamilton with connections to and from Rotorua, Auckland, Whangarei, Kaikohe' and Kaitaia. 3. — A direet Auckland-Hamilton ser; vice. 4. — A morning serviee from Auckland direet to Rotorua. 5. — An afternoon service from Auckland to Rotorua via Hamilton. 6. — A ynorning service from Rotorua io Auckland via Hamilton. 7.— An afternoon service from Rotorua to Auckland direet. 8. — Extra seats between Hamilton, Palmerston North and Wellington wiii pro-vide additiosxal eapacity for Rotorua and Hamilton travellers. Direet connections to and from Rotorua with this service will be available. \
