New Zealand will be represented oy a delegation of eight at the International Labour Conference to be hekl at Geneva from June 8 to July 2. 11x5 names of the Government representa tives were announeed this evening oy the Minister of Labour, Mr. McLagan, as t'olloxvs: — Delegates: Mr. J. Tliorn, High Oommissioner for New Zealand in (.anada (leader), Mr. H. Parsonage, Assistaut Director of Employment, Department of Labour and Employment. Advisers : Mr. D. T. C. Brayshay, senior inspector of factories, Departjuxent of Labour and Einployfuent ; Miss L. Purcell, seeretary of the Shop Assistants' Union, Auckland. The following have been appointed as emplov ers' and workers' representatives: — Employers: Mr. J. Hanlon, assistant 1 seeretary of the New Zealand Enx plovers' Federation (delegate); Mr. S. I. McKenzie, seeretary of the Wai-rarapa-AIanawatu Employers' Assoeiation fadviser). Workers: Mr. A. W. Croskery, president of. the N.Z. Federation of Labour (delegate); Mr. L. A. Hadlev, executive member of the New Zealand Federation of Labour (ad-vi&er). The agenda for the conference iricludes the formulation of international regulations on the following subjects: The right to organise and to bargain colleetively, industrial relations comprising colleetive agreements, conciliation and arbitration and cooperation between public authorities and employers ' and workers' organisations at , the factory, local and national, wages ineluding labour clauses in pubiie contracts and the protection of wages, migration, fee charging employment agencies, vocational guidance, and a revision of four international conven tions regarding employment of maritime workers. Following the conference Mr. Thorn will remain in Geneva to attend a session of the Economie and fSocinl Council which is to begin on July 5.
