players of last year's representative "first appearances." They describe him. as a well proportioned young forward who was prominent at his every p,ppearance during. the season; and a member of • the hard-working Horowhenua pack' which was largely responsible for the defeat inflicted upon M,anawatu. He is further described as a rangy type of- breakaway forward who has already impressed with his solid all round ability, and who should improve as he matures. Born at' Otaki on November 23, 1928, Bryah't was a pupil of the Manakau School before going on to Horowhenua College, where he was. in the first fifteen for two seasons.'
