The newspaper, Soviet Sport, alleges in an artiele that the Scout movement has a military basis and is "a training organisation for imperialist espionage. '' The artiele describes the founder ,of the movement Lora Baden-Powell as "a dyed in the wooi sipy and intelligence agent. " The development of the international ideals of the Scout movement is described by Soviet Sport as "propaganda designed t-o stifle in children an awareness ot the ever intensifying class contradictions nnder conditions of modern capitalism." Einally the artiele eondemns the encourageemnt of religious beliefs by^ the Scout movement on the gkounds that this develops "a spirit of mysticism" and turns children into ' ' human automatons. ' *
