HAMILTON, May 10. The, first major casualty of the jumping season occurred at Te Rapa this morning when the Wingatui representative Boolamskee, with his owner in the saddle, crashed through a wing of the schooling hurdles while endeavouring to run off, and broke a shoulder. He had to be destroyed. His owner Mr. E. R. Curtis, was thrown clear, and escaped injury.
