Slight Easing In Beef At Levin Sale
Good yardings in all sections were forthcoming at the Levin stock sa^ yesterday. A good sale resulted at brices fully firhi on fecent rates, with the exbeptiori of female beef Which showed a slight easing in VialUe with consequbht p'sssing of some hnes. The following is a range of prices realised: — FA.I sbeep: Fat ewes, 30s lOd to 3is 7d; medium fat wethers, £2 6s 7d to £2 6s lOd: heavy do., £2 7s ld tb £2 8s ld; extra prime do., to 50s 4d; light fat lambs, 30s 4d to 8ds lt)d ; medium. do., 36s 10d tb -33s ld; prime heavy do., 38s ld to £2 3s lOd; medium store Romney lambs, 23s 9d, 26s 6d to 27-s 3d. Pigs: Light porkers, £-3 2s 6d to £-3 19s; lhedium do-., £4 2s to £4 -10s; hes.vy do., £4 17s .o £5 8s; baconers, £3 3s to £6 18s; Chbppdfs, £2 18s tb £3 5s. Store cattle: Dairy cows, £12 t~ £i6 5s; empty P.A. cb'Ws-, £9-; 20ihonth P.A. heifers, £8 17s 63; forward conditioned 20-mohth P.A-. steers, £12 5s to £12 14s.
