AUCKLAND, May 9. The New Zealand professional welteiv weight boxing charapion, Clarrie Gordon, knoeked out the Australian aborigine Clem Sands in the tenth roundof the bout. Gordon weighed 10"st 5}ib and Sands 10st 51n. Sands sat on the floor as the referee tolled off the count but bounded to his feet too late. Gordon had the measure of the Australian from the start. He f'oneentrated on body punching and as a result weakened Sands eonsiderably before knocking him down.
