Saturday was a day of surprises in the Horowhenua senidr rughy championship. The strong Athletic iifteen had its co.ours lowered by Rahui, who are newcomers to senior football, while anannon turned the tables on Hui Mai, Iast season's champions. Another upset to expectations was the defeat of Foxton at the hands of Paraparaumu.
