Anglican Church Activity
In his monthly report to the parishioners of this district, the vicar of the Shannon Ven. Bede's Anglican Church, Rev. M. J. S. Wheeler, stated that the annual meeting of parishioners had been held during the past month and the following were elected to the Vestry: — Vicar's warden: Mr. E. A. Collins; people's warden: Mr. N. L. Bryson; vestry: Messrs J. Raper, T. Walker, V. J.. Bateman, H. Munford, Mesdames E. L. Hyde and R. H. Charter; secretary-treasurer: Lieut.-Colonel J. Sharp; synodsman: Mr. G. W. Munford. Mr. Wheeler made mention of the excejlent work done for the church by Miss N. iPeach and Messrs H. L. Norris, C. E1 vines and C. M. Cronquest, all of whom were not seeking re-election to the vestry. Mr. Wheeler stated that Mr. Cronquest had been a member of the vestry for the past 16 years and had held the office of secretary and treasurer for, the past year. Mr. Cronquest was only relfnquishinghis^positionasa vestryman, but would continue his most 'valued work as lay reader. For all the work these people had done for the church, Mr. Wheeler extended sincere thanks.
