Gales Whip Up Seas In Sydney Harbour
SYDNEY, May 8. Southerly gales brought Mgli seas in Sydney harbour last night and caused a mountainous surf off the coast. A small trawler fired distress rockets off Botany Bay and several ships proeeeded to her assistance but it was afterwards reported that all was well. The Manly ferries ceased running during the night and early morning. Pive ships broke from tlieir moorings in Sydney and Newcastle.
