Methodist Guild Meets

In the absence of the president, Mrs. A. C. Kennerley, Mrs. H. S. .Kings presided over a good attendance of members at the monthly meeting of the St. John's Methodist Ladies' Guild. After the devotions, Mrs. Kings read extracts on home and home building from me of H. L. Gee's books. Apologies 1 were 'received from Mesdames Edyvane, Hayfield, Storey and Bowater, Senr. The visi.ing committee reported that 22 visits had been made during the month and a number of letters sent -to sick members. Visitors and church door hostesses were arranged for May. The formation of a creche for Sunday mornings during the service was discussed and tentative plans were made to go ahea'd with it. Preliminary arrangements were made for the annual bazaar, which will he held in Septemher. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Common and Chalk, who. were accorded a vote of thanks. The meeting closed with the Benedietion.
