Douglas, of Levin, and 2 her granddaughter, Heather, are 1 leaving New Zealand by the RangiI tiki for a tour of Australia, Eng2 ' land /and Scotland. They expect j to be away about 12 months. I Five members of the Levin Junior 1 Chaniber of 'Commerce left today I for the Portage, where they will at- £ tend a convention over the week- ? end. They are Messrs R. H, Long, ! A. Wa^er, J. W. Lynch, S. Foster £ and G. H. Sorenson. I Mrs. C: B. Greenaway left today | to spend the weekend in Wanganui, § where she will attend the Wanga1 nui College Old Girls' golden jubilee £ ball at which her niece, Miss June j Holdaway, is making her debut. To ! make this a memorable occasion j for their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. D. 2 Holdaway are giving- a cocktail I party for their visitors and frien dp j attending the ball. 5
