INVERCABGILL, May 2. The Invercargill Licensing Trust has decided to cease 3erv-ing liquor at the Brown Owl restaurant. A representative of the trust stated today that it had been found uneconomic to serve liquor in a restaurant under the new award rates for barmen. He added the experiment to try to provide bettex drinking conditions had been well worth while but most drinkers in the city preferred to patronise the hotels operated by the trust. If building restrictions became less severe and building costs receded, it waa intended to enlarge the Brown Owl for use as a dining room as well as tea' room.
