Last Tuesday the croquet and women's bowling sections hel'd a competition da,y aiiiong; the members and although the weather was showery and rather cold, the programme was compieted.' • After afternoon tea the croquet section took the , opportunity of opening-(the sealed handicaps and it was found that Mrs. F. Denton,1 who is only a second year player, had won the Roach Brooch with 3£ wins. .It was agree-d to make the presentation of trophies at a meeting to he held in May. The winners of small trophies in. the women's bowling section were: — Skips: Mrs. Tricker 1, Mrs. H. D. Aitchison runner-upj leads: Mrs. Peni 1, Mrs; S. Laing runner-up; consolation: Mrs. C. M. Croquest. The president, Mrs. D. A.
