The above photograph was taken when the Hon. R. Semple, Minister of Public Works, officially opened the new 'His Master's Voice' record processing factory at Kilbirnie. Mr. A. J. Wyness, Deputy Managing Director is shown handing to the Hon. R. Semple a copy of the first record pressed at the new factory. Such well-known names in recorded music as H.M.V., Parlophone Decca, Columbia and Regal Zonophone will be produced by the most modern presses in the Southern Hemisphere, individually capable of turning out a new record every 40 seconds — another mile stone in the history of the listening Dog trademark.
