Piaintiffs elaim imspeeitied damages for alleged libei in artieies 011 Communist activities written by vSliarpley and published in the Melbourne Herald. In oue writ Stanley James "Williams, of 'South Yarra, is the sole plaintiff. The piaintiffs in the other suit are John David Blake, of Ilawthorne ; Francis Thomas Johnson, of Elsternwick ; Edward Fowler Hill, of Flemington; Ralpli Seward Cibson, of Armadale; Geoi'ge Richard Oke, of Hawthorn; and Vietor Bii'd, of Toorak. Trials of actions before juries of six are sought by piaintiffs.
