A free trip to -England as the guest of the Rank film organisation hP.'s been Won by Mr. C. Brittenden, the manager of the Regent Theatre at Gisborne. He has received telegraphic advice from Mr. R. J. Kerrfdge, the managing-director of Kcrridge-Odeon Theatres, of the award. The competition was for all the 120 theatre managers in the chain started in New Zealand on March 1 last year, providing for 12 months' application to the daily job of providing the highest standard of entertainment to the public. The five prizes offered were "all expenses pai'd" holidays in England, Sydney and New Zealand.
