The endurance fliers, Bill Harris and Dick Riedel, lauded their Aeronea monopiane at Fullerton Airport, California, today, with a new world 's endurance flight record of 1008 li(ours and two minutes. They took off on Marcli 15. Their small plane bore scars wliere gasoline cans banged against the side as they were hauled up from a speeding jeep four times daily for refuelling. The fliers passed the old record of 726 liours on Api'il .14, set in }929.
