Personal. . . Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Wilson, of Te Rauparaha Street, have ' returned to Otaki after an extended visit to Hawke'sr Bay." The many friends' of Mrs. H. W. Anketell, of Rangiuru, Otaki, will regret to learn that she has entered the Palmerston North Hospital to undergo an operation. Annual Visit To Nelson. Wednesday saw the usual annual exodus of local sports who make the trip to Nelson for the Nelson - Blenheim races. As on former occasions, the party was by no means a small one. Rare Two-colour Chrysanthemum. Mr. J. Seott, of Iti Street, has a chrysanthemum in flower which boasis two distinct and separate coloured flowers on the one stalk. Half way up the staik the stems branch off, and almost alternate stems produce in turn a bright yellow flower and then a bronze one, in the usual clusters. There is no sign of any blending of co-lours, they are quite distinct. Fallen Power Line. At Manakau a few nights ago mild excitement was caused when an electric wire came down, apparently through a vehicle backing in to a pole.o Precautions for keeping people aWay were wisely taken, and the Horowhenua Power Board's inspector at Otaki, Mr. R. T. Mortiboy, was hastily summoned. On arrival he found that the wire was not alive, and the tension of bystanders was eased.
