She has held offices in the women 's Ijranch of the party for a nuiuber of years. The i\It. Victoria and Karori seats are held bv National Party members. ilr. J. R. Marshall won Mt. Victoria at the last eleetion with a majority of 912 over Mr. E. Casey, Labour candidate. The Karori seat is held by Mr. C. M. Bowden, whose majority over the Labour candidate, Mr. P. C. P. McGavin, at the last. eleetion was 2042. The Labour Representation Committee has not vet considered nominations for the remaining Wellington seats, all of which are held by Labour members.
