WELLINGtTObm, April 2U. Reports from traffie officers all indieate that the general behaviour- of road users was outstandingly good >ovqr: Easter, stated the Minister of Transport, Mr. Hackett, this evening. Be added that although traffie on ail roads was continuous and heavy, speeds were more leisur.ely and motorists -took eare to "ge't an early start, avoiding the blind . rush whieh had so characterised ; Easter traffie in previous years. .. . The Minister said that although thre,e persons were kille'd in road accidents over the week-end, this compa/ed most* favourablv with six fatalities for the same period last year'. Apart from the inevitable crumpled mudguard, accidents both minor and serious were few. ''It is'indeed heartening to note that motorists are taking .more care," said Mr. Hackett. ''Unhurried tolerant driving is the best safeguard against accidents and I hope that th'is trend will Qontinue, particularly during the coming - week-end. ' '
