N.Z. Cricketers Haye Their First Game Of Tour ^ Pr [ '
CQpyngw)
Received Thursday, 10.20 a.m, LONDON, April 20. A delightfully smooth -95 by Sutc'iffe and a paipstaking 50 by Rabone were 'features pf the New Zealanders hrst one-day practice match at Eastbourne. The game was drawn, but it would be fair 10 say that nobody was partioularly interested in the result, for the purpose was to give the visitors their first dav "qut in the mMd-e." The New Zealanders were opposed by four of their own men. Sut-eiiife bafted with easy efficiency, scoring 15' fours and one six. He reached 50 in 05 minutes and was 95 in 104 minutes. If the New Zealanders -had a faul-t it was their timing. No fewer than four wer^i leg before wioket. ■ Details: — NEW ZEALAND First Innings . " •'.* Sutciiffe, c and b .Hppkham : 9§ Scott, Ibw, b C.
