The opening day of the Canterbury Jockey Club's autumn meeting will be held on Easter Monday, as also will be the Waipukurau Club's single day fixture. Excellent fiel'ds are! carded for both meetings. The principal event at Riccarton,- the Great Easter Handicap, has drawn 14 class sp-rinters. Palse Step is the ruling favourite, but ther-e will be solid support for Citril, who is to be re'tired to the stud after the meeting.
