The annual meeiing of the Horowhenua Indoor Basketbal AssOQiation vg& s held this week in Levin. The president,- Mr. L. General Matters., The Levin Borough Council advised that the Regent Ha1! w&uld be available to the association on Thursday evenings, The physical welfare branch of the Department of In'ternal Affairs wrote offering the services af its ofiicers to^ the association for coaching and refereeing. It was decided to. invite ' he officers on the opsning night, Thursday, May 26. This year games must begin promptly on the schedu'ed time, or the teamT concerned will be defaultgd. It was decided that players will be requested to pay their dues to the referee each evening before games, commence. On the suggestian of Mr. D. Batten, the men's teams will be caFe'd upon to clean the hall at the end of each evening. One te-am will be allotted to duty each, night. •Last 'season affiliation fees were £1 per team and it was decided that they should be the same- this season. In' regard to the loss. experience'd last year on these fees* it was decided. that they should be paid together iyith the team nominations, by May 26. In the case of the college teams, the affi iation fee will be 15s.
