I The friends of Miss Shirley Newth, of Moutoa, will regret to learn that she is at present an inmate of the Palmerston North Hospital, having been admitted there at the weekend when she was home from Wellington, where she is now employed. Q Films For Farmers. In conjimction with the annual meeting of the Shannon Bobby Calf Pool, to bd held in the Parish Hall next Wednesday evening, Mr. Hastings, Dominion organiser of the N.Z. Pig Marketing Association, will screen three talking films. These films are all of outstanding interest, not only to farmers but also to their wive's and children of a suitable age. The titles are "Clean Farming," "The Tired Business Man" and "Power of the Land." The' latter is in colour.
