Sir Pat.rick Duff, who was apuointed High Commissioner for the United Kingdom in New Zealand in 1945, will shortly he returning- to England on completion of fotir vears in that post. An announcement of Sir Patric^ DufT's successor is expected befors long. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Laing's 'daughter, Audrqy, who was injured in a motor accident while on holiday in Dunedin, and who has been in hospital there for the past three months, has recovered from her injuries. She is shortly to return, with her mother, tq her hqme In Levin.
