The hnal cncket match oi the season between Shannon, winners of the senior competition, and Paraparaumu resulted in an, easy win for the latter team. An unusual incident in the game was the breaking of a wicket by the Paraparaumu fast bowler, Brian Reeve. i Harris (Shannon) secured his 100th wicket in this match — a meritorious effort. With first use of the wicket Shannon made 45 runs, Harris (15) and Thomson (14) being the only double -figure scorers. Paraparaumu replied with 126. The main contributer was Hadfield (29), while Hickman (23), Keogh (20), Rose (14), B. Reeve (13) and C. Reeve (11 not out) also made useful totals.
