More Referees Available For Rugby
The prospect-s for rugby referees ■his season looks much brighter than of late years. This was shown by the number who attended the annual meetina- of the association on Monday night and the fact tha'i light new persons sought membership. Of these, four were from Foxton, two from Levin and two •rom Manakau. Three are experienced referees and the others will be prohationary referees. The president, Mr. J. A. Zuppicich, 'Xpre°sed pleasure at the number of refsrees and notential referees who had come for ward, and said t was indeed encouraging. He hoped that the stage would soon be reached when the association would have spare referees — a condition which had ' not been in evidence for many years.
