The flow of British migrauts to Canada has reached reeord proportions siin-e the war and has induded the gieatest mass inovement of imniigrants 1 iv air in history. Some 142.000 have arrived since September, 1945, and only a fraction of one per eent. returned tc Britain. Dr. II. L. Keenleyside, Deputy Minister of Hines and Kesources, who is senior immigration official, said todav that Canada wanted all the British iinmigrants it eouid get. He added. however, that Canada. unlike Australia, was not eonducting any propaganda eampaign in Britain to eneourage eniigration to Canada. "The British Governnient is not anxious to have its people leave and inany eitizens of the United Kingdom feel it is their patriotie duty to stay, " he said.
