ROTORUA, April 8. Three young men who collectiveiv had 68 previous eonvictions for theft. eseape from custody and other offences today pleaded guilty in the Rotorua Court before Justices, of charges described as a "shocking escapade of crime" involving- theft, break'ing and entering, and the conversion of six motor cars. The three aecused were jointly charged with seven offences and two with five offences. John George Michael Wotherspoon. alias John Michael Mclnally, aged 28, of Auckland; George Robert Te Awa, aged 23, labourer, of Foxton; and Ken neth William Joseph Kerr, alias Pat rick John Sankey, aged 22, labourer. Wellington, were charged with thc theft of a camera at Auckland and Were remanded to appear at Auckland on April 14. Kerr and ' Te Awa were charged with the illegal conversion of a car at Rotorua' on 'March 21, valued at £300, the theft of two rugs from the car, the conversion of a car at Rotorua on March 19, and the theft of clothing material from it. The three aceused were joinUy charged with the conver sion of another car the property of the Mayor of Rotorua, Mr. A. F. Moncur, the theft of keys and papers from it.,
