Nine candidates will contest the by-electidri orf April 27 for the two seats on the LeVin Borough Council rendered vacant by the rcSignatidns of MeSsrs. F. I). Chaiiley and D. J. Gardiner. Hanson., The' large number of candidates reflects a quickening of interest in the administration of the town's affairs. It is recailed that when the munlcipal electiohs were held 18 monthsoago, difficulty was experienced fn obtaining the nine candidates required for- the council and no election was' necessary. It is many years since a call for citizens to serve "on the couricii has met with such an excellent response.
