Taxation Cuts Forecast In British Budget
Received Wednesday, 9.35 a.m. LONDON, April 5. The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Sir Stafford Cripps, is understood to have disclosed to Cabinet *today the main proposals he will make in his Budget tomorrow. These, says Reuter, may include reductions in the purchase tax, adjustments to income tax allowances, a penny or twopence off beer and possibly a cut in tobacco duty.
