PAHIATUA, April 5 Pamage estimated at £1000 was caused iast night When fire gutted a cordial factory .occupied by Pahiatua Aerated waters, Ltd. - The out'break occurred shortly after midnight. The alarm was answered by vojunteer- firemen, who socn brough the blaze under control. Tlie flames made a fiery spectac'e in 'he darkness, attracting a , large erowd of spectators, most of [ whom were ln pyjamas. i The cause of 'the, fire is unknown. It first gained a hold at the rear 'of the building and the flamesswept over the roof bif were quelled before enveloping the whole strueswiept oM.er the roof, but were quelled before enveloping the whole structure.
