He left 2,000,00; dollars to his widow from whom he had been separated for eight years, and 1,333,000 dollars to charilies and educa tional institutions. Bequests totalling 442,000 doliar^ were made to 73 friends, inciuding sui-h llollywood celebrities as Greer Garsoti (10,000 dollars), the ventriloquist Edgai Gergen (3000 dollars), Billie But'kf (4000 doll&i's), and Cornel Wilde (4001 dollars).
