Annual Meeting Of Otaki Football Club

The Otaki: Football Club held its annual meeting recently, when Mr. ' T. V, Cahill presided over a very fair attendance. Matters in connection with the welfare of the club in general were freely discussed, members and players showing the keenest interest in the discussions. The report and balance sheet were presented. The election of oflicers for the coming year resulted as follows: — Patron: *Mr. W. McBeth; vicepatron: Mr. H. B. Edhouse; president: Mr. T. V. Cahill; secretary: Mr. H. Johnson; jo'int treasurers: Messrs. T. V. Cahill and E. J. -Cook; delegate to management committee of Horowhenua Rugby Union: Mr. Cook. About 50 local residents are to be invited to accept office as vice-presidents. Regular practice nights were deci'ded on, and it was agreed to enter senior, third and fourth grade teams in the competition. Messrs. M. Winterburn, H. Johnson, J. Connor and O. B. Nilsson were appointed delegates to the union, and the club is to ask the Otaki Borough Council for the use of the ,domain for the season. An invitation is to be extended to Petone to visit and play at Otaki 011 Easter Monday. ' Further suggestions considered by the meeting dealt with the holdjng of regular functions to further "the social side of the club. These are matters on which further discussion will be held at a later 'date.
