Received Thursday, 10.5 a.m. BERLIN, March 30, The anti-Communist Berlin newspaper Telegraf elaims tlut the Russians are building a. strong defence line in their accupation zone, north of Berfin. The newspaper said that the present Red Army spring manoeuvres are used to smokescreen large-sshle rearmament in the eastern zone of Germany. High Russian officers who deserted recently reporte-d that: the Red Army is going to huild military bases on a line from the area north of Berlin to the Baltic, said the Telegraf. At Templin, about 45' miles north of Berlin, the Russians are pushing forward the construction of new .military installations with all their strength. The Telegraf claimed to have received information that at least 12 big war plants are making war material at high speed, and that ammunition dumps have been establishe'd all over the Soviet Dccupation zone. Wartime plants are now being re-established to boost war production for the Russians by thousands of German workers.
