Church Of Christ Holds Its Annual Meeting

During the last weekend the - annual meeting of the Seddon Street Church of Christ was held, Mr. H. Grinstead presiding. Mr. W. Austin presented the report on the year's work and the financial statement. It showed that in addition to sustaining the work of their own church, members had been able to support that of the home and foreign missions, College of the Bible and youth work. Thanks were expressed to all who had helped in any way, those who had extended hospitality to the visiting preachers and Mr. Grinstead for his generous serviees. Members elected to the board of officers were Mesdames G. Shirley and H. A. Fenn and Messrs. A. Scott, W. Austin (secretarytreasurer) , G. Shirley and W. Fowler, with Mr. Grinstead as associate minister. The Christiari Women's Auxiliary, ,with Mrs. Roe as president, had ' carried on its beneficent work visiting those in need and in sickness, making provision for and sending gifts of parcels and medicine to Britain and in the foreign mission stations, it was reported. The Sunday school work, under the guidiance of Mrs. Fenn and! Mr. Grinstead, had proved successful. 1 Mrs. A. Scott was appointed to represent the church at the conference at Gisborne over Easter. [ The Sunday evening meetings will recommence on April 24 and continue each Sunday night, commencing at 6.45 p.m.
