Sharkey Charges Heard in Cairn Atmosphere
Received Tuesday, 8.15 p.m. . SYDNEY, March 29. ' The hearing of the sedition charges in a special Federal''Court today against L. L. Sharkey, general secretary of the Australian Communist Party, proceeded without interruption. Extra* police were posted in the courtroom/xind in Martin Place, bttt no Communist demoutrations resulted. The cases were adjourned. this afternoon until tomorrow morning. The Stevedoring Industry Comims sion decided today to seek advice from the Crown Law authorities with a view to prosecuting those responsible foi yesterday's waterfront stoppage. Th> stoppage was conifined to wa'tersiders in; Sydney and Port Kembla, -and was de signed as a protefct against eliargi nY L. L. Sharkey, general secretary of tn. Australian Communist Party, with sedition.
