AUCKLAND, March 28. The New Zealand team ''staged ; batting collapse in the women's tes; cricket match at Eden Park today anj" were all out for 61. At one stage Ney Zealand had lost seven wickets for 19 but avoided a follow-on. England i.: i their second ihnings made 164 for tlu loss of seven wickets. On the first da. of play England were dismissed for 2h , and New Zealand replied with on. wicket for five. It was a day of slow scoring, 22runs being recorded by both teams. The batting of the New Zealand sid was disappointing, the notable excep tio.n being J.. Erancis who made merr with the attack. Johnson was equall as effiective in taldng four wickets fo 18. M. Maelagan gave a sound displa in England 's second innings in whic she was top seore with 47.
