It will b.e led j.j King Koraki, Princess te Puea Herangi and1 other leaders of the Waikato and Ngati-Maniapoto tribes. 'ihe appearances of King Koroki outside Tainui territory are rare, And his presence will give. the ieputation added significance. The deputation's objects a.re: — 1) To. greet Mr.. Fraser (wha is also, Minister for Maori Affairs) and compliment him on the work he acjomplished abroad; (2) to "com>iain about certain things that occurred during his absence'"; (3> to ;xplain why certain elders bo-y-.otted, the recent lieensing refermdum in the King .Country; (4). to >iace before Mr. Fraser a statement mncerning "the authenticity of the tatus and purpose of the King Country Pact"; and (5) to vaice 'strong criticism from the Maori 'iewp.oint of the procedure apd interpretations adopted" by the Limsing Commission. It is also announced on behalf of he deputation that a complaint will be made to the Prime Minister nhat an attempt had been made by departmental officials tp suppress he deputation.
