Rotary Club's Luncheon The Levin Rotary Club's weekly luncheon yesterday was well a.ttended. The guest speaker was Mr. A- Haley, of the Horowhenua College, who gave an enlightening !talk on the changes which have itaken place in the last 20 or 30 •years in the methpd§ of teaching geography. He was accorded a jhearty vote of' thanks. A wisitor for the day was Mr. R. Laurenson, . .a member of the Hutt Rotary Club j and a well-known singer. He } rendered a much appreciated solo and then led,memb,ers in a song. Inter-Collegiate Sports 1 A team to represent the Horowhenua College Will travel to Pal- ; merston North on Saturday, April 9, to compete in the inter-collegiate ' sports -to be held' there. Although : the team has not yet been : announced, the college sports mas- i ter, Mr. G. A. Ball, expressed the i opinion yesterday morning that it wouldv have reasonable chances of success on the merits of the per- ; formances put up at the recent 1 college sports. Protection Against Tb The vaccination of nurses and officers at the Palmerston North Public Hospital with B.C.G. vaccine has been very satisfactory, aecording to Mr. J. X). Willis, acting medical superintendent to the hospital fioard. B.C.G. vaccination was firsfc undertaken at Palmerston North beqause of the investigation by the hospital board's pathologist, Dr. T. H. Pullar, into its use overseas. Mr. Willis said that although tfie vaccine could not be regarded 1 as" complete treatment against the | contraction of tuberculosis a large. measure of protection could be qbtained. The whole of the staff at Palmerston North Hospital woul'd 1 be done as soon as possible. t
