Tn'ey include agriculturists, mix'ed1 farmers; dairymen, sheep . farmers and the varioiis classes of sm'aller primary pr'oducers. Dairy farmbrk . 4nd sheep farmers total* 49,533; aria.are the niajor part bf the group. They employ 17,934 men and wbmeii; together with 3446 share-milkers. Those engaged'in agricultural hnd pastoral occupations total 108,873 men andi 10,134 women. Dairy farmers form the lafgest single group, contiriues the statCfrient. There are 24,473 men and 1762 women listed in that class. Mixed farmers total 13,539, ahd sheep 'farmers total 12,583.
