EMPLOYERS' TTABILITY INSURANCE JJNDER the Workers' Compensation Amendment Act, 1947, every employer is rpquired to deliver an Employer's Statement of Wages to the State Fire Insurance Office on the prescribed fonn not later than 30th April. (This does not apply to members of insurance associations whose members have been exempted by the Compensation Court, or to local authorities which have been exempted by the Compensation Court.) A person who is not an employer on 1st April 'but who afterwards becomes an employer is required to deliver a Statement of Wages within fourteen days of commencing to employ. The State- ■ ment of Wages should be forwarded J by post or delivered in person by the' employer to the Branch Office for the District of the State Fire Insurance Office. As soon as practicable after receiving the Statement the Office will send' to the employer . an Assessment of Premium. The premium must be paid within one month after the date of assessment.
