. wellington, March 25. While four women were at wirship m a nearby room in the building, fire broke out early this mornmg in an upstairs room of the Commonwealth Church in Lower Hutt. It is believed that the women were unaware of the outbreak until the arrival of the fcrigade, aithough at that stage the flames had a firm hold and dense smoke was clouding the building. The damage was confined to one room, which appeared to be an office and storeroom housing a duplicator and typewritmg machine* and files and paper. Smoke slightly damaged. the other rooms.
