The prize-winners last Friday eveninfe were Mrs. Thomson and Mr. Moore, Senr., while the winners for the previous week were Mrs. W. Picard and.Mr. D. Harris. School Jubilee Mr. T. S. Downes, of the advertising committ'ee of the . Shannon School diamond jubilee celebrations, has" received nptification from the direetor of the" National Broadcasting Service, Professor James Shelley, that an announcement regarding the jubilee will be broadcast over the main national radio stations in the near future. This anouncement should bring forward" replies from many expupils whose names and addresses are at present unknown by the committee. Wrestling Tonight Arrangements are complete'd for the professional wrestling match to be held in the Druids' Hall by i.hs Country Queen Committee of the. war memorial carnival.. A working bee spent a considerable time last evening in erecting the ring, which was brought from Levin. The seating has been arranged in such a manner that all will obtain a good view of the match. Holders_ of reserved seats are asked to arrive early, as it is expected that there will be a record gathering of followers at the match.
