(Special to "Chronicle") PALMERSTON N., March 24. When a call was made over the loudspeaker system for 1 1 Mrs. A. Cawood" during the screening of a-film at the Mayfair Theatre on Tuesday night, a wondering Mrs. Cawood 'made her way to the manager's ofS.ee to be informed her husband wanted her on the phone urgently. A highly-excited husband told her the news. She had won £6009 in an overseas eonsultation! Mrs. Cawood did not seem unduly excited over the news. She walked back into the theatre to see the rest of the film. About two minutes later she eame out again. She did not ask for her money back. ' Mrs. Cawood, of 202 College Street, shares her good fortune with her sister, Mrs. J. Hogg, of 18 Ada Street. They purchased a joint ticket in the overseas consultation only recently. It whs the first they had bought in that partieular consultation although they had "taken hundreds in raffles -and never won a thing." The ticket arrived on Tuesday morning and it was during her visit to the theatre that night that her husband received a cablegram advising them of the news. Testerday the two sisters said they had not made any plans as to how they will use the money. It was a bit diffieult for them to concentrate on anything. However, they do not think they will have another ticket. They feel they should let someone else have a win.
