Maori Representation The prediction that v/ithin ten years special Maori representation in Parliament wonld be abolished at the request of the Maori people iwas made by Sir Apirana Ngata, speaking at a farewell to Sir Peter and Lady Buck. Flight For Whooping Cough A four-year-old child who has been suffering from whooping cough for several weeks experienced consi'derabie relief in her condition after a flight in a Gisborne Aero Club Tiger Moth to an altitude of 16,000 feet. Tne child and her mother made the trip, on which the plane was piloted by Mr. G. C. Spencer. The girl 'slept rnost of the time_and later was reported to be eating and sleeping better than for sorne tinie. Dead Ma'n Voted! "There was a man in this district
who died and was cremated seven yeafs ago, yet he had the audacity to cast a vote at the last general election." This statement was made at last night's annual meeting of the Levin branch of the National Party by the electorate organiser, Mr. W. Day. He v/as emphasising the importance of the "pnrging" of the roll^ a project which all branches of the party have been carrying qjit for some time past.
