Institute Garden Circle's Meeting
The Otaki Women's Institute Garden 'Circle held ,its March meetLng at the reside.nce^of Mrs. V. M. Sundgren. Mrs. A. Hunter presided over a good .attendance, and two new members .were enrolled., General business was transacteid, and suggestions for next month were keenly discussed.One of the highlights this month) was a trip by special bus to Wel- j lington, the morning being spent, at the Botanical Gardens, the begonia house receiving special attention, and after a picnic lunch a visit wa's made to the Town Hall to view the magnifLcent display at the flower show and mannequin parade. It is hoped to have more of these trips. After a 'dainty af ternoon tea had | been served, Mr. C. Evans, the guesti speaker on horticulture, invited members to ask . questions. The opportunity was eagerly seized and manv gardening problems were solved. ' ' . • '• / The .meeting closed with votes oi thanks to Mr. Evans for his;yaluable information and to Mrs. Sundgren for the use of her home.
